The Ulster Historical Foundation presents this one-day course introducing you to researching your Irish ancestors, and explaining how you can work around the destruction of many records in the fire at the Public Record Office in 1922 during the Irish Civil War. The course will cover the main archives and websites for beginning your research; the different Irish land divisions; church, civil and census records; and the Griffith’s Valuation survey. There will also be practical demonstrations and guidance on how to use relevant online databases. £95, with discounts available for members. A more indepth five-day programme will take place on 4–8 February, and will cost £449.99.
