Lost Love Letters

Who Do You Think You Are? Magazine - - LETTERS -

The other day I was reading your July 2018 issue and noticed the letter ‘Love letters returned’. I have a similar problem.

My aunt passed away in 2010, and left behind letters that she must have held onto for over 67 years. As she never married the writer, I would like to find the relatives of this gentleman. Maybe they would like the letters and photographs?

The gentleman in question was Kenneth Bexfield, and he served in the Army in Wiltshire and South East Asia Command. The last letter I have was written from 39 Windsor Road, Lowestoft, Suffolk, dated 20 May 1946.

As I do not have a computer, I would be so thrilled if any readers could help me.

Irene K Carpenter, Somerset

Editor Replies: We love a challenge Irene. If anyone can uncover members of Kenneth’s family, we will get in touch and try to return the letters and photographs to them.
