The university’s Centre for Lifelong Learning runs two short online courses on DNA testing for family history – ‘Genetic Genealogy: An Introduction’ and ‘Understanding Autosomal DNA Testing for Genealogy: A Beginner’s Guide’. These last for eight weeks, and you can receive accreditation by successfully completing two optional assessments. The centre also offers online postgraduate courses in genealogical studies, which include genetic genealogy.
