Other Basic Fixes If you’re scanning a black-and-white photo turned brown with age, be sure to select greyscale (‘Black & White’ on Image Capture) – it’ll cut the file size for starters. If the photo is slightly skewed, Image Capture on the Mac allows you to manually adjust the scan using its rotation-handle control.
