Set Parameters Before clicking ‘Scan’, change the ‘Media’ to ‘Gray’ for black-and-white photos and set your scan resolution. Switch to the ‘Color’ tab, set ‘Color Balance’ to ‘Auto Levels’, and experiment with the various sliders to improve the lighting. Use the ‘Filter’ tab to correct grain/noise and sharpen slightly blurred shots.
