British Library’s George III collection put on Flickr

The British Library has made 17,860 digital images of historic maps, views and texts from the Topographical Collection of George III available at flickr.com/photos/britishlibrary/ albums/72157716220271206. The images have been created as part of a seven-year project to catalogue, conserve and digitise the collection, which was begun in 1660 and was presented to the nation in 1823 by George IV. This is the first of two planned image releases.
