JUDE’S EAGLE EYE
I was just reading the November issue, and in the ‘Letters’ section saw the images of a mysterious button found by Helen Brooks. I came across something I think could be the same thing while researching online. I thought that the one in the magazine looked like the Hull Corporation tramway button, and after reading the rest of the letter saw that there was a suspected Hull connection.
The website British Tramway Company Uniforms and Insignia has information and another photo of a button that I think looks very similar, if not the same as the button in the magazine: tramwaybadgesandbuttons. com/page2/page11/page97/ page97.html. However, there is unfortunately no indication as to the manufacturer or an image of the reverse, to see if they are indeed one and the same.
