Civil records from France go online at MyHeritage

Family history website MyHeritage ( myheritage.com) has added two major collections of civil records from the French department of Nord. There are 6.7 million birth records, dating from 1820 to 1915, and 6.9 million death records, dating from 1820 to 1935. Although the records are available on other sites, the MyHeritage collections feature additional information. For example, the birth records include the child’s birthplace, both parents’ names, and the mother’s maiden name.
