The National Library of Scotland has added new collection­s to its free maps website maps.nls.uk. The additions include 214 commercial maps of Scotland, dating from the 1870s to the 1930s and primarily drawn at a half-inch or quarter-inch to the mile; 224 maps of rural estates (1760s–1950s); 1,657 25 inch to the mile ‘parish edition’ Ordnance Survey maps (1855–1885); and 2,430 Ordnance Survey National Grid maps, published in 1970.
