Findmypast introduces new-look family tree
Family history website Findmypast ( findmypast.co.uk) has launched a new look for its online family trees. The updated features include showing five full generations at once, and a sidebar menu allowing easier editing of ancestors’ profiles. There are also new capabilities to zoom in and out on specific individuals or branches; easily return to a family tree’s ‘home person’ by selecting the house icon; and highlight ‘focus’ individuals for easier navigation. The move follows the introduction of other tools allowing users to view messages from each other, and view hints from each other’s trees.
