NLW and NRS improve access as restrictions lifted
The National Library of Wales in Aberystwyth (NLW) and the National Records of Scotland in Edinburgh (NRS) have both lifted coronavirus restrictions to increase access to their records.
NLW no longer requires visits to be booked in advance, although researchers must still preorder the documents they wish to see. In addition, all reading-room services will be permanently relocated to the North Reading Room, as the South Reading Room is being redeveloped to provide access to the new National Broadcast Archive and as a flexible space. Meanwhile NRS has reopened its Dundas Search Room and its Historical Search Room to all visitors.
