CONVICT QUEENSLANDERS
Here you can find out more about British transportation registers that were created between 1787 and 1879, compiled from the original British Home Office records and together detailing more than 123,000 convicts who were transported to Australia during that time. The data covers names, term, dates, transport ships and more. Another really useful website for researching all things Australia is the huge site Trove ( trove.nla.gov.au), a collaboration between national and state libraries and archives across the country, which includes all sorts of free-to-view digitised newspapers, reports, diaries and letters.
