I have to confess that

I haven’t managed to get any of my branches confidently back to the mid-1600s. However,

I really enjoyed typing family names and places s into the brilliant Civil Warr petitions website (see page 63). It has actually given me some leads that I now need to pursue. Janet Few’s article has certainly inspired me to try to find Roundheads and Cavaliers in my family!
