In 2021 FamilySearch finished the digitisation of its collection of 2.4 million rolls of microfilm, and is now working on indexing the billions of images and enabling remote checking. The 1950 US census is due for release in April – the images will be available here – and staff hope that the genealogical community will index the 150 million individuals as quickly as possible. FamilySearch also aims to repeat the success of the virtual event RootsTech Connect 2021 with RootsTech Connect 2022 on 3–5 March.
