The team at ScotlandsPeople say that they are preparing to publish the 1921 Scottish census “as early as we can” in the second half of 2022. In the meantime, there’s the annual release of birth, death and marriage records in January (that’s births from 1921, marriages from 1945 and deaths in 1971). There’s also going to be a significant new collection of indexed prison registers, and during 2022 the site will continue to add images from the historic ‘Maps and Plans’ collection, as well as more material for the kirk-sessions collection that launched this year.
