London Metropolitan Archives announces its new director

Emma Markiewicz has been named the new director of the London Metropolitan Archives (LMA). She is currently head of archives sector development at The National Archives in Kew (TNA), where she leads TNA’s ‘Archives Unlocked’ development strategies. Her previous roles at TNA include head of collections and engagement, and head of programmes. Charlotte Scott and Tim Harris will remain the acting directors of LMA until Markiewicz starts her new role on 14 February.
