National Library Of Wales Photo Book Collection
Tag 19th-century photographs
PROJECT OVERVIEW
Between the covers of the 19th-century photograph albums in the National Library of Wales’ collection are more than 14,000 images relating to Wales and its people. From capturing day-to-day scenes to recording social and economic changes in the country, these images are of considerable historical value. By transcribing titles and tagging items seen in the photographs, volunteers will help make them more accessible to researchers.
WHAT DOES IT INVOLVE?
Volunteers will be given scans of pages from the albums to view. They must tag objects and people in the photos using Wikidata tags. There will also be the opportunity to edit other volunteers’ tags.
