That’s how I discovered this fascinating site focusing on the complicated history of Italian possession of the Aegean Islands. The website covers German occupation, which took place after the fall of the Fascism, the Italian-AngloAmerican Armistice, the Italian war effort, and the terrible losses endured by Italian forces during the latter stages of the Second World War.
