Joseph Knelman

Joseph is a writer and PHD ecologist who has focused his research on high latitude and elevation ecosystems. He is currently a Research Affiliate with the Institute of Arctic and Alpine Research at the University of Colorado. He has led trips with National Geographic Student Expeditions for five years, to locations including Alaska, Norway and Iceland. Today, he lives and works in California, USA, at the foot of Mount Tamalpais alongside the coastal redwoods.
