New Challenges

Westgate Conservancy, Samburu, Kenya

I spent a few months preparing for this project — testing out a range of flash triggers and alternative gear to make it work. I finally made it out to Westgate Conservancy and arranged a photo shoot at night with Lerresh (pictured) and a number of other traditionally-dressed Samburu warriors. It was the first time that I went on a mission to photograph a subject that didn’t meet my usual ‘Must have a tail’ criteria.
