Sellman’s six for Panthers Maidenhead B&G FC

Rowan Sellman was named player of the match (POTM) after scoring six goals in Maidenhead B&G u13s Panthers’ 7-2 home win over Berks Elite Gold. Senna Anagho grabbed the side’s other goal as the hosts cruised to victory in their EBFA Section G clash.

Manager Roland McGill said: “All the boys had a good workout. The boys at the back held steady against some talented players and going forward we were good and stretched the opposition, particular­ly in the second half.

“Callum Marques made some good saves on his debut, early in the game, when it looked like the result could go either way. Well done Callum.”

Elsewhere the u18s Santos were beaten 3-0 at home by Curley Park Rangers in Division 3. The u17s Boys lost by the same scoreline away to Burghfield Blues in Division 2, while the u16s Cobras picked up a point following a 3-3 draw at Sandhurst Town Royals. The u15s Colts lost 5-1 at home to Finchampst­ead Panthers in Division 6, Justin Duffy scoring the side’s consolatio­n.

There was a 3-1 win for the u14s Sharks over Whitegrove & Warfield Saints in Division 8 while the u13s Foxes won 7-4 away at AFC Henley Hotspur.

The u12s Dragons were beaten 30 by Calcot Royals in Division 1 while the u12s Jaguars edged out Caversham AFC Dragons 1-0 in Division 2.

The u12s Girls were beaten 2-0 away by Wargrave Hurricanes in Division 1 and the u13s Girls beat Thatham & Newbury Town Blue 43 at home. There was also an emphatic 9-1 win for the u15s Girls over AFC Reading in a friendly match.
