Martine’s successful with bid for new notice boards
A charity champion has led to a campaign to get public notice boards erected in the Houldsworth Centre.
Martine Nolan met with representatives of NHS Lanarkshire Property Department to look at having public notice boards installed at the Houldsworth Centre after she launched a public petition.
Martine began a public petition to have NHS Lanarkshire install a notice board at the new facility in Kennilworth Road.
So after starting the petition on CITIZENGO and sending the petition to the elected representatives, NHS Lanarkshire have decided to put notice boards into the Houldsworth Centre.
The notice boards were installed on August 21, including community notice boards and goods for sales board both accessible to people and community groups.
Martine said:“This goes to show that on this occasion NHSL, NLC and the community (all those who took the time to sign the petition and send emails to NHS Lanarkshire’s Chief Executive, Calum Campbell) have come together to deliver for the people of Wishaw a resource that was much needed. “When the matter of the public notice board within the Houldsworth Centre was brought to our attention, we were happy to meet with the requesters to see how we could facilitate this.
“I’m delighted to say that notice boards have now been installed in the library and another board will be installed in the main reception of the Houldsworth Centre over the coming week.”
