Frank has written to NHS Lanarkshire’s head of services, Graham Johnston, about the issue but says his letter has fallen on deaf ears so far.
Earlier this month, the Wishaw Press revealed drug addicts had been using the car park with several anti-social problems reported there.
Graham Johnston said: “The disabled parking at the Houldsworth Centre car park is fully compliant with all statutory requirements.
“In an effort to further improve disabled parking at the centre, we are exploring the possibility of converting the drop-off bay at the front of the centre into a disabled parking area which will be subject to building control approval.
“Within the new multi-decked car park, we have no record of any vehicle using the disabled bays inappropriately. However, any driver who was to do so would be notified by a sticker/leaflet being placed on the vehicle informing the owner that they had parked inappropriately.”
