Campus driven to succeed in motor trade awards
New College Lanarkshire are in the running for a national motor industry award in recognition of their commitment to high standards of training.
The Motherwell Campus have been shortlisted for approved training centre of the year at the IMI Outstanding Achievers Awards.
The awards are organised by the Institute of the Motor Industry to celebrate excellence among 660 approved training centres across the UK.
The automotive area in the college’s Motherwell campus has around 1000 students and more than 40 staff, making it the largest further education provider of automotive training and education in Scotland.
The college will compete with Derby College and Mercedes-Benz UK for the coveted trophy.
This is the sixth time that the faculty of engineering and automotive has been shortlisted for the award since 2010 – and it won in both 2010 and 2015.
