Wheely busy

-

It’s been a busy and record-breaking time for Law Wheelers recently.

Members of the region’s premier cycling club have been taking part in tournaments throughout the country and as far afield as Belgium.

Sean Quinn (pictured) has become a record breaker by smashing Law Wheelers’legend Bill Haggart’s 30-year-old records.

Haggart used to hold the 25 and 50 mile time trial records until recent success by Quinn re-wrote the history books.

Sean, along with Colin Sergeant and Graham Smith, have had regular top ten placings in national events throughout the year. Their successful season has continued and with a few competitions left this year they can add to their achievements.

If you’re interested in any level of cycling or just want to keep fit the Wheelers are always welcoming new members.

The club, who are in their 80th year, have runs which leave Newmains Cross every Sunday at 9am with an easier development run leaving first Sunday of the month at 10 am for any newcomers.

Check out Law Wheelers on Facebook, Law Wheelers.com or call 07984 434971 if you would like to find out more about the club.
