Times have changed Brought it on herself Normal people Very different celebs

Last week reality TV star Kim Kardashian was robbed at gunpoint of £8.5 million after masked men raided her Paris apartment.

The following day, tennis ace Andy Murray spoke out about being stalked by a hotel maid. Following the revelations we asked our readers if they thought celebrities should be entitled to more privacy.

Robert Lindsay said: “Social media has changed things because some celebrities play their whole life out on it. That’s how they make their money. Although I do think they should still be entitled to some sort of privacy. They are normal people with families.”

Margaret Murdoch, from Wishaw, said: “Celebrities are normal people. It’s sad that they are not even safe in their own homes or in hotels that they have paid a lot of money to stay in.“

Wishaw woman Ruth Haxton said: “Kim Kardashian and Andy Murray are two completely different celebrities. Kim flaunts her life where as Andy seems like a very private person. They’re on different ends of the scale. She seems happy to flaunt her wealth but it seems like it’s came back to haunt her.”

Jane Low and Ella O’Neill, from Coltness, says celebs should be careful what they put on social media. She added: “Kim Kardashian brought this upon herself. She lets people know where she is and flaunts jewellery worth millions. Unfortunately, there are people in the world who will do whatever they can to get a piece of that wealth.”
