The play, which will feature Garry reprising his role as the Ugly Sister is set to start on November 17 with rehearsals having started last week.

The children have been given the opportunity thanks to the classes run by Garry in Wishaw, Shotts and Motherwell.

Garry is delighted that the youngsters have the chance to put their lessons to good practice.

The former Motherwell college student said: “It’s great to see these kids getting the chance to take part in the pantomime.

“We run classes all across Lanarkshire and it’s a chance for boys and girls to try something different.

“I am really passionate about kids in the Lanarkshire area getting these fun opportunities and learning new skills.

“I’ll be playing the pantomime dame as I did two years ago and I’m looking forward to it.

“Rehearsals started last week and it will be a fun show.

“We want as many people to get involved with the classes as possible and it’s open to everyone.
