New make up lines are brandtastic

-

It’s been an exciting time in Glasgow recently with some amazing new make up companies opening at last - Charlotte Tilbury in House of Fraser and Make up Forever in Silverburn.

Make up Forever, created in Paris in 1984 has been sold worldwide in departments stores since the early 90s and Sephora since 1996.

It has just made its way to us in 2016, but hey, better late than never.

It’s a brand that was initially created for professional use, but the quality and technology behind the formula’s has appealed to the public. The products remind me a little of Illamasqua with their vivid matte shades and huge lashes selection, but the big favourite is their HD foundation.

I’ve been dying to try it forever as it’s used by professionals I love.

There is quite a selection but I decided to try the Ultra HD stick foundation as it offers full coverage without looking heavy. Great for brides!

HD foundations are created for film and TV so that the skin looks flawless but, more importantly, the texture/substance is invisible on screen under high resolution lenses. It is fabulous and does exactly what it says on the tin. They also have a wide range of Aqua products which are waterproof. Amazing for brides.

Eye liners, lip liners, liquid lipsticks and glosses, the colour range is fabulous and they don’t budge. Eat, drink and kiss proof to anyone looking for a new day to day brand to try.

I’m still working my way through the range, so I’ll come back with more findings.

Next is Charlotte Tilbury at House of Fraser. If you haven’t visited the counter yet, you must. It’s beautiful! It’s in the style of old school glamour which I adore and has definitely been missing in the make up world.

It’s what I’ve tried to achieve at my own studio.

At the store they offer a series of looks e.g. The Golden Goddess, The Rock Chic, The Bombshell and Sophisticate are just a few.

You can purchase your chosen look with everything you need to achieve it in beautiful packaging.

Such an impressive visual display, soooo tempting. Charlotte Tilbury is the Willy Wonka of make up.

I haven’t visited the London Store yet, but I can’t wait to see it on my newt trip down south.
