Gord help us... We’re in trouble

-

No team in the world can put you through the emotional wringer quite like watching Scotland.

The hope, the despair, the joy, the frustration.

Every emotion under the sun, you name it, a Scotland fan has most likely felt it whilst watching the side home and abroad.

But Saturday night against Lithuania was a different scenario.

A game which wasn’t billed as a must-win by manager Gordon Strachan despite everyone knowing three points was a must.

So Saturday’s draw was even more disappointing, demoralising and downright unacceptable.

My worry is that he did not play the right 11.

The main sticking point for Scotland supporters is the decision to play Chris Martin as the main striker when Leigh Griffiths sits on the bench.

When we fell a goal behind on Saturday with 35 minutes to go we didn’t rush to bring on the 40-goal striker.

We waited until the 71st minute to give Griffiths a chance — how much impact can he be expected to make in such a short space of time?

The last time the prolific Griffiths started a
