Clyde Valley High School Pedal power for London trip
Pupils coin it in for journey to the Captial
Pupils involved in the forthcoming trip to London took part in a fundraising activity called the ‘Wheely Good Fundraiser’ in Tesco recently.
Pupils donned various Londonthemed outfits whilst others cycled on spin bikes all in a bid to raise cash for the trip.
Thanks to the generosity of the people of Wishaw, the school managed to raise £522.84.
Special thanks to those for supplying and delivering the spin bikes for the event.
Thanks also to David Lannigan, Mr Burns, Mr Jeffrey, Mrs Smith and Mrs Craig for their help on the day and finally thanks to Margaret Smith, Tesco Community Champion.

Welcome
Last week the school welcomed Mr Paul Hoffmann, who has become the newest member of the English department.
Aus t r a l i a n - b o r n Pa u l , interviewed via Skype back in December and was thrilled when he received the call to pack up his life in sunny Oz and make the move to Scotland.
No stranger to Scotland, and Lanarkshire in particular, Paul and his wife previously lived in Uddingston for nearly 20 years before they made the move back to Rockhampton, Australia where he spent the past four years working in catering and training as an English teacher.
Paul has taken no time at all in settling back in to life in Scotland and has been welcomed back into his old cricket club with open arms.
Paul has been named as one of Scotland’s most successful cricketers with 119 Scotland caps.
The bowler has also taken a record 282 wickets in the Scottish National League.
Staff and pupils at Clyde Valley are excited to work with Paul and wish to formally welcome him to the school.
