The latest Ferrari will be launched at Geneva
The quickest and most powerful road-going Ferrari ever to be wheeled-out of the Italian supercar maker’s Maranello factory is set to be one of the stars of this month’s Geneva International Motor Show.
The new 12-cylinder berlinetta not only introduces a plethora of innovative features but is also particularly significant as the V12 series marked the official start of the glorious Prancing Horse story in 1947, 70 years ago this year.
It is aimed, says the company, at buyers demanding the most powerful and exclusive Ferrari in the range: an uncompromising sports car that will deliver exhilarating driving both on The Concours of Elegance which was a huge success at Holyrood Palace in 2015 returns to Hampton Court Palace on September 1-3 with an event that welcomes more exclusive features, a broader selection of the world’s most amazing cars and more action than ever.
In a world-first, the Jaguar D-Types that swept the Le Mans 24 Hours race in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 6th places during the late Fifties, will be reunited in the incredible grounds of Hampton Court Palace.
The 2017 event will also see a greater selection of more modern ultraexclusive supercars, as part of a collection curated by motoring expert and founder of the Harry’s Garage YouTube channel and evo magazine, Harry Metcalfe.
At the other end of the automotive spectrum, the Concours of Elegance will also be working with the Royal Automobile Club to create a collection of pre1905 ‘veteran’ cars. Arriving at Hampton Court Palace over the weekend, visitors will be treated to all the sights and sounds of the very first motoring pioneers.
