Classic movies fan Sam Elliott is tops Likes Mark Wahlberg Robert Redford’s best Stars rake in the millions all due to blockbusters

Forbes magazine recently released their annual 2017 rich list with Hollywood actor Mark Wahlberg topping the list with his £53million salary.

The Transformers star knocked wrestlerturned-actor Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson off the top spot despite him earning a whopping £50million last year.

The list once again shocked fans with many claiming the actors are massively overpaid.

We took to the streets of Wishaw to ask residents who their favourite stars were.

Wishaw man Russell Clark said he was a fan of old-school movies. He added: “I’m a big fan of John Wayne. He was some actor and starred in brilliant movies. My favourite has to be She Wore a Yellow Ribbon.

“It’s ridiculous how much some of them are making.”

Wishaw dad Gerry McLelland, pictured with his daughter Miley,3, said he was happy to see Mark Wahlberg top the list. “He’s one of my favourite actors,” said Gerry. “He always plays the parts well. His best film was Shooter; it’s a classic.”

Janice Brownlie said: “Sam Elliot is top for me. His performance is Roadhouse was second to none.”

Deirdre McAulay, with her son Rowan, said: “I like Robert Redford, although he won’t be paid anywhere near as much as the ones of the Forbes list.”
