Shotts and District Rotary Club have been drawn against Lockerbie Rotary Club at home in the first round of the Annual District 1020 Quiz which takes place on October 4 in the Station Hotel, Shotts. The Rotary Annual Sponsored Walk will take place at Lanark Loch on Sunday September 24, with the majority of the proceeds go to local groups, clubs and organisations. Meetings are every Wednesday evening in the Station Hotel, Shotts. Tonight, Wednesday, September 13, the guest speaker is Bill McSeveney, formerly of Shotts. District Governor Lindsay and some members of Carluke Rotary Club will also be guests that night. On Sunday morning, the service is at 11.30am. Singing Group is on Tuesday at 7pm. Shotts Salvation Army Corps On Tuesday, the Friendship Club is from 1pm till 3pm. On Wednesday, Youth Club is from 6pm till 7pm followed by Band Practice from 7pm till 8pm. On Thursday morning, the Toddlers is from 9.30am until 11.30am. On Thursday evening, the Prayer Meeting is at 7pm. Friday Club is at 5.45pm followed by J.A.M. Club from 6.45pm until 7.45pm. The Sunday morning meeting is at 10.45pm, led by Lieutenant Amy-Jo Battersby. Everyone is welcome. The Annual Collection started on Monday, September 11. Next Wednesday, September 20, there will be a Book Sale from 2pm till 4pm and 6pm till 7pm in the Hall. Shotts Bon Accord Club Singer Billy Fox will be performing in the lounge this Saturday from 7.30pm. Please note the club are taking new bookings, so please get in touch if you’d like to hold your event there. The function hall is available to hire for events and weddings.
