St Patrick’s Opera group presents Spamalot at Howden Park Centre, Livingston from Tuesday, November 7 until Saturday, November 11. The cast always put on a brilliant show and are often mistaken for a profession­al company. However, they need the support of regular and new patrons if this year’s show is to be a success. This year’s show has lots of good music and comical sections, so whether you are a Monty Python fan or not, order your tickets now for what promises to be a great show. Shotts gala day are holding their annual general meeting tonight (Wednesday, October 18) at 6.30pm in the scout hall on Benhar Road. The Halloween party is this Friday, October 21, from 6pm until 10.30pm in Springhill Marble Club. Tickets cost £4 and all children will receive a goody bag. Shotts and District Rotary Club have their meetings every Wednesday evening in the Station Hotel. Last week, members enjoyed a talk from Dress for Success Scotland, a charity that helps women into employment by finding them work appropriat­e clothing and running courses, including confidence building.
