Wishaw Press

Writing off debt is wrong

-

The Wishaw Press have kicked off a fantastic feature to find our readers’ digital picture of the week.

We have teamed up with Morrisons in Kirk Road who will provide a FREE family meal for four (two adults and two children) at their cafe for every readers’ digital picture of the week that we print in our newspaper.

It can be photograph, selfie or image that you or your children have taken on a digital camera, iPad, or smartphone.

We are looking for either a picture that you have taken in the Wishaw area or perhaps a selfie of your family while you were on holiday at home or abroad, or children’s drawing on an iPad.

We would also like pictures of your special occasions, such as wedding anniversaries, children’s birthday parties, retirements dos, family celebrations, party pictures, club or group pictures, or any other big day or charity event.

All you have do is send your picture to us at news@ wishawpress. co.uk or contact us through our Facebook and Twitter pages.

Please make sure you include your name, address and contact details and information about your picture.

The sentence of a man who attacked two paramedics trying to save his life in Wishaw has been labelled ‘a joke’. John Dorey was handed a 12-month supervision order at Hamilton Sheriff Court but escaped further punishment despite punching and kicking the ambulance crew at his home in Craigneuk in November of last year. Readers hit out at the sentence handed down by the courts.

I wonder what sentence would have been passed had it been a judge that was attacked while at his work doing his job.

The law is a joke. Shirley McAulay Mair I would have thrown him out. Told him to help himself. People like that not worth helping. The law is a joke. Beverley Austin Justice system is a joke. Far too many people getting off with assaulting others. Gill Kelly Great deterrent. I have a mate who is a fireman.

It’s disgusting what these scum do. Jason Elliott
