Arts and craft group meets in Bonkle Church hall from 7pm to 9pm on Tuesdays and new members will be made welcome. Food bank thanks everyone for their continued support and is open in the village at 1pm on Wednesdays. Men’s and ladies club meets in the church hall at 7pm on Wednesdays. Bible study is held in the office of Coltness Memorial church at 10.30am on Thursday monrings. Thursday club meets in Bonkle Church hall at 2pm every Thursday afternoon and Coltness men’s club meets in Coltness Memorial church at 7.30pm that evening with choir practise in the church at 8pm. Rainbows Brownies and Guides meet in Bonkle Chuch hall at the usual times on Fridays. Spring fashion show is being held in Coltness Memorial church from 7pm to 9pm next Monday, April 16; tickets £3, available from Fay Parker, Margaret Murdoch or Irene Ferris. Arts and crafts show takes place in the village during the week commencing June 10.
Orange Halls Events begin this week with Craigneuk Branch Club Apprentice Boys of Derry meeting at 7pm tonight; bingo for eyes down on Monday nights at 7.30pm, all welcome; Craigneuk True Defenders Flute Band practise on Tuesdays at 7.30pm and Craigneuk Imperial Ladies Flute Band practise sessions on Thursdays at 7.30pm. New members are welcome and tuition is available if required.
Overtown Parish Church service on Sunday is at 11am. There will be a creche for younger children and the OK Club and B Club Seven meet in the church hall at 10.50am. All visitors welcome. Women’s group The ladies still meet up for a “blether” and a cup of tea, from 7.30pm each week. The band Studio 32 will perform an open night at the church on May 2. All welcome. Lunch club meets in the small church hall on Mondays from 12 noon until 1.30pm. Hot and cold rolls, tea/coffee or juice and dessert costs £3. Sewing bee continues in the small church hall on Monday evenings at 7pm. Arts and crafts are undertaken and help is available. All welcome.
