Last year from front to back
A 13-year-old boy collapsed in a school classroom after taking ecstasy.
The second-year pupil was rushed to Wishaw General after he had an adverse reaction to the Class A drug.
It was the second drugrelated incident to rock St Aidan’s High School.
Headteacher Claire Connelly said: “We have a zero-tolerance policy to drugs and work hard to remind our pupils of the potential dangers of illegal substance misuse.”
Two talented youngsters were targeting gold in the Commonwealth Youth Games.
Wishaw’s Ryan Quigley and Craigneuk’s Taylor Hamilton were named in Team Scotland’s 41-strong squad heading to the Bahamas next month.
Sixteen-year-old Ryan, of Lilac Grove, was set to compete in Scotland’s judo team, while Shire ABC’s Taylor was set to box for his country. Both were looking forward to competing.
