Summer school club Overtown Parish Church is once again running its summer holiday club during the school holidays for all primary age children, starting in primary one after the holidays, up to and including those who have completed primary seven. It is being held in the church halls from Tuesday, July 31 until Friday, August 3; and will be on each day from 10am until noon. This year’s theme is Jungle Jamboree, and the children will participate in games, crafts, group work and fun, based on some of the most known Bible stories, but with a jungle twist. On the Friday evening, there will be a barbecue for the children and their families in the manse grounds (weather permitting), and on the Sunday, August 5, a special service will take place in the church at 11am. All participants and their families are cordially invited to attend the service. Parents can register their children for a place at the club by contacting Susan Forbes, whose details are listed below. Alternatively, they can come along on the Tuesday morning prior to the start of the club and register at the door on the day. Entry is completely free and any information provided on the consent forms will be treated in the strictest confidence.
