Dog owner search

The search to find the owner of a dog discovered more than 300 miles from Wishaw appears to be over.

A photograph of the beautiful pet pooch went viral across social media in a desperate attempt to reunite it with its owner.

Toughmutts Country Pet Supplies, based in Staunton, Gloucestershire, posted on Facebook lastthursday night with the post being shared more than 3,500 times.

It states:“the microchipping company have finally come back with some information.they have said she’s from Scotland. She was chipped in 2016 in a place calledwishaw.

“Owners will need to confirm chip number and dogs registered name.

“No answer from owners so they are writing to them.

“She will go with the dog warden and be held for eight days before going up for rehoming with the forest of dean rehoming centre.”

However, a Forest of Dean District Council told thewishaw Press that although the Labrador was originally registered in Scotland it was rehomed in Gloucestershire two years ago.
