A man has denied behaving in a threatening and abusive manner at a house in Pather.

Scott Carter appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court last week and denied repeatedly striking a door at the house in Rannoch Drive on October 7.

It is also alleged that 28-year-old Carter shouted, swore, made threatening gestures and issued violent threats towards a woman.

Carter, of Lusitania Gardens, Larkhall, will return to court on November 26 for a further hearing before standing trial on December 21.

He was granted bail in the case.
