Prison for man after guilty plea

A man has been sent to prison after admitting behaving in a threatening manner at a property in Motherwell.

Alan Kelly had already pleaded guilty to behaving in a threatening manner by shouting and swearing at the address inwrangholm Drive in New Stevenson on October 1.

Last week, the 23-year-old, of no fixed address, appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court for sentencing.

Sheriffthomas Millar sentenced Kelly to four months behind bars as a result of his actions.
