Supervision after assault on woman
A man has been put under supervision after he admitted assaulting a woman at a house in Motherwell.
Andrew Murray appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court last week for sentencing.
Murray had earlier pleading guilty to the assault charge which took place at an address in the town’s Muir Street on September 9.
On that date, Murray attacked the woman by pushing her on the body and striking her on the head.
Murray was put on a community payback order with a supervision requirement for the next 18 months.
He was also told to attend alcohol treatment and counselling as part of the order.
