Man behind bars after incident

-

A man has admitted behaving in a threatening manner at a house in Craigneuk.

Mark Langford appeared from custody at Hamilton Sheriff Court last week to stand trial over two alleged incidents in the area in the space of 10 days.

However, Langford opted to plead guilty to one charge against him.

On September 18, at the property in Glencairn Avenue, the 25-year-old shouted, swore and uttered offensive remarks towards a woman.

Langford also admitted refusing to the premises, punching a window, making threats to damage property and issuing threats of violence.

However, Langford’s not guilty plea of shouting, swearing and making threats of violence at a home in Glencleland Road on September 8 was accepted by prosecutors.

Sheriff Liam Murphy deferred sentence on Langford, of Laurel Drive, Craigneuk, until November 12 and called for reports.

Langford was remanded in custody until his sentencing date.
