Wishaw Press - - YOUR VIEWS -

Last week we reported that Wishaw Hospital midwife Maureen Mcsherry had been shortlisted as a finalist for the Midwife Award at the Scottish Health Awards 2018. Our readers were quick to back Maureen ahead of the ceremony on November 1. Amazing! You deserve this Maureen.

Couldn’t thank you enough for your care. Rebecca Longmire-mcguire Good luck. She delivered my two youngest girls and was a brilliant midwife. Gail Allan Good luck Maureen. You deserve it for all your hard work. Alice Ewing Our front page last Wednesday reported on a shortage of flu jabs across Wishaw. We received a number of comments from residents who have also been affected by the shortage. We have been calling the surgery for a month for the kids vaccine and it is still not in. Kirtsy Fallan My son got his letter at the end of September to make an appointment for the flu nasal spray.

I contacted Dr Clarks Surgery at the start of October who seemed annoyed the letters had already been sent went they never had the nasal spray available.

I was told to phone back at the end of October.

Whilst on the phone this morning I was told it was now expected in Thewishaw Press have kicked off a fantastic new feature to find our readers’digital picture of the week.
