Five years ago...

Shotts boxing trainer Frank Delaney was recognised for his outstanding contribution to the community at the Sunday Mail Great Scot Awards.

Delaney had been a boxing coach for 35 years and ran Delaney’s Gym in the town.

Five years ago he won the Unsung Hero award for all his hard work in training amateur champions, as well as coaching kids, helping them get off the streets and teaching them discipline and hard work.
