Amelia, said you have to start early to be prepared.

Wishaw man Jamie said: “I’ve already started Christmas shopping. I think you have to start early so you can afford everything you need to buy now. Christmas is really expensive.”

Little Amelia said she is super excited about Christmas. She said: “I can’t wait for Santa to come. I’ve asked for an LOL House.”

Newmains couple Jack and Lilian Young said Christmas is too commercialised now.

Jack added: “Christmas isn’t the same anymore. The Christmas spirit seems to have gone. It’s just all about the money now. I still like to wait to go out and buy my presents on Christmas Eve. That’s when I always buy Lilian’s and she always likes what I get her.”
