A man who admitted behaving in a threatening manner at a house in Craigneuk has been put behind bars.

On September 18 in Glencairn Avenue 25-year-old Mark Langford shouted, swore and made offensive remarks to a woman.

Langford also admitted refusing to leave the premises, punching a window, making threats to damage property and issuing threats of violence.

His not guilty plea of shouting, swearing and making threats of violence at a house in Glencleland Road on September 8 was accepted by prosecutors.

Langford had been due to stand trial for the offences but opted to change his plea.

At Hamilton Sheriff Court last week Langford, of Laurel Drive, Craigneuk, was jailed for nine months.

Sheriff Liam Murphy discounted the sentence by a month on account of Langford’s guilty plea.
