Miss Scotland runner-up Jordan Mcgill visited Netherton Court Care Home last week to thank the residents for their support.

Stunner Jordan’s proud gran June Cunningham is a carer at the home and had been keeping the residents up-to-date with how she was doing in the competition earlier this year.

The pensioners were always asking how she was getting on and loved looking at the pictures of her in her glamorous gowns.

June said: “I was so proud of Jordan and how great she was doing so I was always going on about it to the residents.

“They were all really lovely and were always wishing her well.

“When Jordan was in the competition she chose to raise money for the Little Princess Trust and has kept the charity work up since.”

To raise money for the cause and to thank the residents for their support 19-year-old Jordan decided she would go along to the home and host a coffee afternoon, with the help of her gran and event coordinator Linda Skillan.

The £150 raised was split between the Little Princess Trust and the Netherton Court residents fund.

June added: “It was a lovely wee day. It was great to see the residents smiling and getting to meet Jordan in person after months of me talking about her to them.”
