Pay­back or­der af­ter racist rant

Awishaw man has been put un­der su­per­vi­sion af­ter be­hav­ing in a threat­en­ing man­ner at his home.

Robert Fal­lon stood in the dock at Hamil­ton Sher­iff Court last week for sen­tenc­ing af­ter plead­ing guilty to the threat­en­ing be­hav­iour charge.

On De­cem­ber 11, at his home ad­dress in Curling­haugh Cres­cent, Fal­lon be­gan shout­ing, swear­ing and made of­fen­sive and racist re­marks.

He also ut­tered threats of vi­o­lence and strug­gled with po­lice.

Dur­ing the in­ci­dent, he vi­o­lently lashed out with his arms and legs.

How­ever, Fal­lon was cleared of as­sault­ing two po­lice of­fi­cers on the same date when the charges were dropped by pros­e­cu­tors.

The 54-year-old handed a 12-month com­mu­nity pay­back or­der with a su­per­vi­sion re­quire­ment as a re­sult of his ac­tions.
