Busy time in Overtown
Overtown residents got into the Christmas spirit this week as the village’s festive lights were turned on.
The lights were turned on after Orchard Primary School’s choir gave a yuletide medley of songs.
Overtown Community Centre was packed out with a sea of stalls while there was also the chance for kids to meet Santa Claus and hand in their Christmas lists ahead of the big day.
Nancy Campbell Ker, from Overtown Brighter Village Association, said: “I must thank everyone for the help they gave before the day and on the day itself.
“These events can’t be a success without a lot of work from the various stalls and community.”
